Fire Damage Repair Design and Expansion

We were retained by an insurer to evaluate fire damage at a metal frame structure. After determining the extent and severity of damage and preparing repair documents, the building owner retained us to prepare construction documents for an expansion that the owner wanted to construct while performing repairs to the fire-damaged portion of the structure. We worked with a geotechnical engineer to address challenging site issues in an economical way, including an existing slope in the area where the proposed expansion was intended to be built.

Our design work included the foundation system, load-bearing metal stud mezzanine, and conceptual design of the engineered steel framing system.
